Here is what most alterations cost at our Nine Elms shop. Every figure is a starting price, because two pairs of trousers are rarely the same job.
Bring the garment in and try it on with the shoes you will wear it with. We will pin it, talk it through and give you the price before any work starts. There is a tailor with thirty years at the machine, so if we think something is not worth doing, we will say so.

A lot of people come to us only for the numbers, because they are having a suit or a shirt made to measure somewhere else. Our tailor takes a full set of measurements and writes them down for you to take away or send on. Allow about fifteen minutes. This is the one thing on this page with a fixed price rather than a starting price.
Need it in a hurry? Express same day and next day turnaround is available on many alterations. It depends on the job and on how busy the bench is that day, so tell us your deadline when you drop the garment off and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.
A word on these prices. They are a guide to what most jobs cost, not a fixed quote. What we charge in the end depends on the garment: the fabric, whether it is lined, how it is put together and how much work it needs. Two dresses that look alike can be very different inside. Bring yours in, or send us a photo, and we will confirm the price once we have seen it.
